The conversation was not very long because Father Beppe is very busy, and having just returned from Italy, he had to receive many people. I talked with him about the time necessary to explain OUR INITIATIVE. I explained that the child (s) we want to adopt must constantly be monitored. Of course we do not expect a daily report, but someone who periodically tells us how the child is, if he is eating, if he is drinking, if he has a cold .. and we want to find a channel that tells us about the situation of Darfur..WHAT is happening there "How many people are displaced?" Was there an attack? Where? .. We want you to talk ... Father Beppe said to give him a week to organize. to find a child who is perhaps displaced there in Khartoum, so it would be easier for him to monitor the situation. Dear friends, as you can see, Daniela has managed to reach Father Beppe, a missionary who lives in Karthoum and that welcomes displaced people from the Darfur region in Sudan, 500 km away. What's happening in that faraway land? The Darfur tragedy involving 7.4 million people would seem to depend on the fierce conflict between the Muslim north and the south linked to African religious traditions. The North is of Arab ethnicity, the South divided into myriads of tribes. The Arab minority is supported by the government. The south denounces the connivance of the north with the groups of the ferocious nomadic tribes of the Janjaweed. The estimate of the conflict is around 450000 dead. The international community has concluded that "war crimes" have been committed, but it does not yet speak of genocide, a term that would make the UN's intervention a must. The situation has worsened (but look weird ...) from when in 2005 it became known that Darfur is very rich in oil. In relation to this dramatic situation, AMACri (Mass Critical Association) is trying to get in touch with missionary fathers or sisters to create a direct bridge of aid and to monitor the existential and clinical conditions of some children in that area where God has no right to drink.
